Simple Variable not showing Layer
Sep 10, 2013
I've debated writing because I have done this a hundred times and it's worked fine in the past. But I must beg for assistance.
Following the video tutorial at: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=w9yy14kjvohi for assistance, I did exactly what was shown except I want to SHOW A LAYER with a button on it, instead of CHANGE THE STATE of an object.
I want a link on page 2.18 to return to a previously visited page in the lesson at page 2.12.
I created a trigger on 2.18 called "VISIT" that changes to TRUE as soon as the student visits the page.
On the page is a link that takes student back to page 2.12 as a reminder.
On page 2.12, I see that the variable changes correctly to TRUE. (yes, I created a text box to see it change)
My trigger on the slide checks to see if the variable VISIT changes to TRUE. If it does, then LAYER VISITED it supposed to show. This is the problem - the layer never shows.
I've deleted and recreated triggers. I've tried it by incrementing variable from 0 to 1 instead of true/false. Nothing is helping.

Good Afternoon, Nan.
I'm not 100% certain that I properly followed the logic above, but attached is a working copy of what I attempted. Please let me know if I have missed the mark in any way. Good luck with your project!
BINGO!!!! DING DING DING...You are the winner. I didn't have the trigger on 2.12 when the timeline started. Doh!
Glad Justin got it working for you Nan, and welcome to Heroes!
