Simulation to Explore
Jul 26, 2016
Hi!
I'm trying to build a simulation that is specifically for my learners to explore. I don't necessarily want to tell them to do a specific set of actions just yet because I want to introduce them to the tool; however, I don't have the luxury of being able to assume that all of them will have access to the tool, and I do not want to be "THAT person" who walks them through things like "Here's a drop-down menu with a lot of buttons on it that state exactly what they're for. Now here's the search button. You can click that when you're ready to search...".
I love that Storyline allows me to build a simulation simply by recording my screen and choosing for it to be interactive in Storyline--I just want to know if there's a way to use that simulation for exploration rather than for some kind of quiz purpose.

Hi Jazzmine!
Hopefully your fellow community members will chime in with some ideas to assist you with your design.
I did want to share that Storyline allows you to use your screen recordings in multiple ways and you may want to check out the tutorial here to learn more.
I hope they will too! If there IS a way to do it (and I'm sure there is...), I would use it a lot. Checking out your link now! There's a lot to learn since I just got this software.
I understand Jazzmine. We have a lot of great resources for new users:
Thank you! I've bookmarked this now, thanks so much. I guess I know how I'll be spending my free time in the coming days. (Ahem. "Free time.")
