Size of Type with Results Variables is different when published/previewed

Jun 22, 2016

I can't seem to figure out what's happening here but on a Results slide if I make the ResultsPassPercent variable a really large size (e.g. 140 pt) it doesn't preview or publish at that size but is reduced down to a smaller size.

The above is the base layer of a Results slide with 140 pt. Below is the Preview output where you can see it's much smaller, more like 80 pt.

Any idea why this is happening?

Thanks for your question, Brett, and sorry to hear of your difficulties! This is a peculiar issue and I am finding the same behavior, so I'd like to recommend that you reach out to our Support Engineers for additional technical insights via this form. I'll keep an eye out for your case so that I can follow along and share updates here for others who may benefit.

Hi Enrique,

This discussion is a bit older and in Brett's case it was specific to the results variables and how the "Do Not Autofit" textbox setting was adjusting text size for result slide variables. The workaround shared was to use the "Resize shape to fit text" on the Result slide variables.

If you're running into something different and would like us to take a look - please share a copy of your .story file here (even just a few slides).
