If you highlight the object that has the motion path then go to the Animations tab and click path options, the motion path should display on the object, then you can select it and delete it — that worked for me anyway.
I know what you mean, I played with motions paths in a test project and when you look at the slide, the animation star symbol or the path doesn't display once you have saved the project and re-opened it. So try above and let me know how you go.
I had to click on the little arrow directly inside the motion path in order to delete the animation. I kept clicking the star, and once i hit delete, the entire picture would also delete.
Go back to the animations menu. Click on the image containing the motion path. Click on the green arrow (one click only). Once the arrows turn into dots, hit CTRL-X on the keyboard.
I also noticed that the motion path is under the triggers for that picture in the trigger menu. Deleting that has been the easiest way for me to get rid of the motion paths :)
Yes, I know this is old, but the CTRL-X worked for me out of the given options. Thank you as I've always had issues with deleting these and always had to just remove and rebuild the entire screen.
Sorry I am lost here.. Green arrow ? Here is an animation that I cant remove, if you preview, it clearly animates but selecting the image in the Animation panel does not reveal any path that I can see.
HI Philippe. Your animation does not include a custom motion path. If you create a custom path for the animation, the green arrow would appear. If you go to ANIMATION>FLY IN>and select NONE. This should remove the animation. Hope this helps.
I just thought I'd throw in my two cents. I was having trouble removing the motion path from an object because I had so many objects on the slide and couldn't seem to actually select the motion path. (When I went to click the red or green end of the motion path, I'd just end up clicking the object or one behind it. I simply moved the object off the slide altogether and was able to remove the motion path that way.

What do you I do wrong ?

Morning Philippe
you have a fly in animation on the object. Select the object on stage then Animations Tab > Flyin and use the drop down arrow to select None.
Oh Excellent !!
I had almost never used that and forgot they could do this effect !
Thanks Andrea and Wendy !
