I have both SL 2 and SL 360 on my workstation. There's a font "Tondo" that I've used in SL 2 with no problem. As I write, SL 2 will render Tondo correctly.
SL 360 on the other hand displays Tondo correctly, shown here:
but Preview or Publish renders a font that looks a lot like New Times Roman shown here:
Well of course that isn't one of the free ones Sam :) We have had a couple of customers report similar issue with other Typekit fonts and our testing shows that some work and some don't. By default, SL uses fonts that are installed on the system and it seems that Typekit installs the font via Adobe Creative Suite.
Hey Sam - Our team continued to look into this issue and by performing an Unsync and Re-Sync fonts that were not working correctly previously are now working in the project, preview, and publish.
Not sure if this will work for you as well, but it was worth mentioning just in case :)
one of my customers experiences a similar problem with a course played in her IE browser, that I developped with Articulate SL 3. All text is displayed in Times New Roman.
What is interesting that I cannot produce the effect with different browsers (IE11, Chrome, Firefox, Safari) on different devices.
thanks a lot for your prompt answer. I will ask my customer if the IT guys
allow the measures you described.
In the end the customer will host the content in their LMS. Would my hope be
justified that it will work in their intranet environment without doing
anything now?

By the way... we get the Tondo font through Adobe Creative Cloud and it is part of Adobe Typekit.

Shame that Tondo works fine in Storyline 2. This bug in Storyline 360 means that we'll have to replace fonts and check the substitution everywhere.
Is this something that Articulate will investigate or is working with the supplied fonts all that SL 360 supports?
It is something that we are discussing to better understand. Do you get a notification when opening your project file about the fonts:

Would you let me know how to do an Unsync / ReSync?
Thanks!
Haha! Sorry about that Sam :)
So, when you are logged in and on the Typekit website - you can see your 'installed' fonts, correct?
This is what I see:
We don't have missing fonts. We did an unsync / resync / reboot. The test Story file still previews and publishes Tondo text as New Times Roman text.
I understand that Adobe may have something unique about it that could be massaged to fix SL 360 but Storyline 2 doesn't have this issue.
Isn't it relevant to investigate why SL 360 has a font issue that SL 2 doesn't?
Hi Sam - That's the part that I'm curious about as well. I've opened up a support case on your behalf (01008374).
Hey Sam,
Great news - Articulate 360 Update 5 is now available! It includes a number of fixes detailed in the release notes here.
The item you may be interested in is how we fixed several fonts that displayed incorrectly in HTML5 output, including Adobe Typekit fonts.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the “Update” button next to each tool.

Hi all,

Does anyone have a guess?
Hi Martin,
Sorry to hear that you have a user experiencing difficulty with your course.
I have seen a report specific to I:
Does that sound like what your user may be experiencing?

Oh, how are you sharing with the customer now?
If you are not uploading and viewing in the intended environment, that could be the actual issue.
Perhaps upload to SCORM Cloud and share the link with your customer and see how it performs.
