Hey again Sam - So, the taskbar seems to be a Windows issue, so a tad out of our control. Here's how to launch the desktop apps. As far as the recent history being removed, this is not something we have seen personally nor do we have any reports of this happening, but we will be sure to keep our eyes peeled now.
Something similar happened to me today. The Storyline 360 icon was replaced with a "generic" icon. When I click on it, I get a notice that there is a problem with the shortcut it states, "The parameter is incorrect." I do not have the option of adding it to my taskbar. I am running Windows 7. Thoughts?
Does Storyline 360 open normally from your start menu or program folder? When you say a generic icon, is it the Articulate 360 desktop tray icon or something else? This discussion is a bit older, so I'm not sure that you're running into the same issue as mentioned here...but it could be worth looking at repairing Storyline 360 as a start.
Hi Ashley! I uninstalled and reinstalled Storyline 360 and first it didn't appear to correct the issue and then about 5 minutes later everything appeared normal. Hooray!!! We'll chalk it up to the fact that I am located in "Eerie" Pennsylvania. Sometimes strange things happen. Thanks for your help!

I experienced the same thing when I did the update last week.
It's all minor compared to correcting authoring issues. Thought I'd mention it though.

Ha! Well good luck in Eerie, let's hope the Storyline icon changing is the weirdest thing for you today. 😉
