SL2 - Not Responding - Large Projects.
Dec 10, 2015
Hi ,
we are working on a project which has around 55 scenes and about 700 slides in total. the project size is at 125mb. there are no triggers etc. its a simple jump to slide using hot-spots.
Storyline hangs/crashes at opening the project or while working on project. memory usage by storyline is touching 2.2gb and you cant even switch to story view as it takes a long time or hang before it can refresh and show.
Temp files are clean.
Reinstall has been done.
Files are on local drive.
Naming convention is taken care of.
Tested on multiple systems. i5 ans i7 running 8-16GB ram.
here is info from the not responding window

Hi, Hardeep -- So sorry to hear you are having issues! Have you tried importing the file into a new file to see if you find improvement, as it sounds like you have already run through the repair steps listed here and it did not help?
so another issue with memory handling.. the trigger window goes to a red x.
only workaround at this stage is to save/quit and restart.
this is again in a similar sized project and we have done clean installation to rule out sw issue.
Hi, Hardeep -- So sorry to hear you are having troubles, but thank you for reaching out! Please see this post, as there are a number of suggestions on how to address a red x, as seen in the image you provided.
Please let us know if issues persist and we'll see what more we can do to assist! :)
