SL2 -> SL3 Drag and Drop multiple objects to single target broken in SL3 preview and when published as HTML5

This issue appears in SL3 Preview only. Subsequently, when published in Flash with HTML5 fallback, the screens behave as expected, and as they performed in SL2 preview. However, if published in HTML5 with Flash fallback, they perform incorrectly as documented below:

I found that all of my Drag and Drop screens I had programmed in SL2 that have multiple drag objects for a single target, and that have been converted to SL3 do not work if the "Drop Target Option" is set to anything except "Snap to center". These worked just fine set to "Tile" in SL2.

The behavior of the drag objects in SL3: Click on object and attempt to drag to target box. The object "clings" to the mouse and will not let go, and will not snap into the target.

I have set up a sample file (attached) that displays this behavior.

Thank you.

Hi Richard,

we had the same issue but only when we used hotspots as a drop target and when the elements were shuffled. I don´t see it in your file when preveiwing tho.

Another problem we had was not correct placing of drag objects when their right/wrong state is bigger than the normal state (because of added pictures like a happy/sad smiley to the states).

Great news, folks!

To follow up on Leslie's post – I'm excited to note that we just released update 3 for Storyline 3! You can view all the new features and fixes here.

One of the fixes addresses an issue where drag items would not drop on targets (HTML5 output).

Here’s where you can download and install the latest version of Storyline 3. Let us know if you have any questions!

I have downloaded this update, however I'm still having issues with the drag and drop interactions. The drag item and drop target are correct but occasionally the interaction tells me it's incorrect.   In addition, I'm trying to snap to center and they drag item continues to snap to the offset or tile position.
