Love SL but haven't used SL2's screen recording capability until recently. We did a 12 min. and a 7 min. long screen recording. Each of them took as long or longer to process than to record. Is that normal? I have a Dell Precision T3610 w/ an i7 processor and solid state drive. It should be a rocket ship!
That doesn't sound normal - so you'll want to make sure that your system meets at least the minimum set up here and that you're also working on all local project files as detailed here.
Thanks for your response. Your 1st link, however, was 404. That said, aside from the above, my system also has 16GB of memory and 64-bit capability, Flash 16.0.0.305 is installed. Shockwave was not installed but I just installed 12.1.7r157. The project is saved on a local HDD rather than the SSD.
I had a problem when I upgraded from SL1 to SL2 in that SL2 tried to use Studio '13 to import a QM '09 quiz. I don't have '13. Getting that resolved was rather complicated, involving a number of uninstalls/reinstalls, including Studio '09, SL2 and Studio '13 trial. Could this be related?

If you feel like it's a new issue since reinstalling Storyline 2 it may be - was this something that you worked on with our Support team?

My system meets or exceeds all the requirements listed.
I'm unsure if the other issue has any relevance.
I just tried recording w/ SL1 and it died completely, twice, while processing the screen videos.
Next, I tried SL2 again to see what would happen. 19.5 minutes to process at 10 min. video in SL2.
I think I need to put in a ticket.
