I've been working in a SL2 project for a few hours. I just inserted an audio track and when I went to play it with the controls on the timeline, nothing happened. I couldn't get the timeline to play. I tried previewing the slide and it would not load either. I closed the .story file and went to reopen and noticed that the SL2 icon next to the file name had a red x on it. I was able to open the file again, but it was very slow and did the same thing with the timeline (would not play). I've been working in this file for several weeks and haven't had any issues.
Has anyone run across this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
This usually means a memory issue or lack of resources available to Windows.
Try exiting SL and then restarting, or, sometimes better yet, reboot your PC and see if the problem is gone
Unless you have a lot of RAM on your PC, you may sometimes need to close any programs you are not using. And sometimes, close and restart SL or reboot your PC every so often.
Even though Storyline is still a 32-bit application, it may help to add more RAM on your PC if you don't have a lot and use a 64-bit version of Windows. Also be sure you are working locally on your PC.
