When a user exits the course up to a certain point (let's say before slide 70), Storyline behaves as expected upon resuming the course, and the user will resume on the slide they exited on. However, if a user exits the course on any slide after slide 70, they'll always resume at slide 70.
This has happened in other (shorter) courses I've created, but it's more of an issue now with a more time intensive course. Has this happened to anyone else?
Hi Andrew! If your course keeps on resuming to specific slide and you have a relatively long course, then I think you are hitting the resume data limits for SCORM 1.2. Try to change your LMS setting from SCORM 1.2 to SCORM 2004 4th edition since that has a much larger resume date limit. You can also check out this article to know more information on this issue:
Switching to SCORM 2004 did the trick! Moodle's documentation does mention that SCORM 2004 is not supported by Moodle, so I'll be doing some additional testing around other course features; anyway, thanks a bunch.

Thanks for the quick reply, John! I'll give it a try and report back.
Best,
