SL3 - Activiating Error

Hello Articulate,
After quite a long time I should work on an articulate project again. I used to install storyline on a virtual windows machine on my mac, but with my new mac (that has an M1-chip) this is no longer possible. So I got myself an old window laptop just for the work with storyline. Installation worked fine but storyline won’t let me activate. The error message goes something like: "The allowed number of activations for this license has been exceeded. Please contact Support” - which I just did.
Can you please help me out?
