I have a project with 8 question banks. The learner has to go through all of them as a final evaluation. Some questions within the banks are compulsory and others are chosen randomly.
I have a result slide after each question bank.
At the end, I have a final result slide that calculates results for the previous result slides.
My problem : on the final result slide, my score shows infinity%
Forget about my previous post, my solution doesn't work. :-(
The only workaround I found was to manually calculate your total score with triggers. Add the percent score of all your "Banks Results" slides and then divide by the number of banks. Then modify the Passed/Failed triggers to use your variable instead of the one from Storyline.
Thanks for checking in! We're still monitoring this bug, and I don't have an ETA to share just yet. I appreciate you letting us know that it's affecting your projects. You're in the right place to stay up to date on any new information!
Hi, is there a solution for this? I'm having a similar issue to Thorsten. First, a participant will fail the Final Evaluation. However, if they were to go back in and simply click "Resume" - The result turns to Infinity% and it automatically passes the participant.
Hi, Stacey. Thanks for checking in, and sorry you've hit this problem!
Although I don't have an update on this bug just yet, I promise to keep everyone here updated as soon as new information is available. For now, would it work for you to set the revisit behavior to Automatically decide?
Let me know, and we're also happy to take a closer look at your .story file to explore custom solutions!
There a few different behaviors reported here, so I wanted to give a quick update 🔎
For the issue where a result slide that merged other quiz result slides miscalculated the final score and displayed Infinity%: We're excited to share that this has been fixed in today's update for Storyline 3, Update 7. You can check out all the goodies here, and download this latest version here! If you're using Storyline 360, a solution for this occurred in Update 30.
For those seeing the Infinity% score when exiting and resuming from the result side (when the question slides and result slide are set to 'Reset to initial state'): No news just yet, but we'll keep this discussion posted on any new developments.
Appreciate everyone working with us. If there's anything else we can do to help or clarify, please let us know!
Do we have an update for the below bug? Appreciate if you could update us.

As Katie mentioned above, we don't have an update on this bug just yet. You are in the right place for any updates we can share as soon as new information is available. For now, a workaround that might help is to set the Slide Properties revisit behavior to Automatically decide.

Greetings, Ruth. Thanks for sharing your setup for a closer look!
After some digging, it looks like the revisit behavior for the quiz slides was set to Reset to initial state instead of Automatically decide.
Your results slide looked great, so I just updated each quiz slide to the new property. After that, the Infinity% score no longer appears when exiting and resuming from the result side; the first attempt score shows.
The results slide will no longer show %infinity% when a user exits and resumes the course.

It works for real this time! ;-)
Hi Josué,
Thanks for sharing your solution with everyone here. If anything changes regarding this bug, we'll let you know. So sorry you ran into it!
My solution won't send to total result to a LMS though...
Hi Josué,
I'm not sure how it fits into your overall plan but I wanted to be sure you saw this article about sending a variable to an LMS.
That may be a way to send your 'total' for tracking and give you a final result slide.
Do any staff members know when we can anticipate a fix for this? Weeks, months? Thanks!
