SL360 Tin Can Output on Moodle - Only Player Shows

Mar 13, 2018

I've been working on transitioning some courses to a Moodle-based LMS, with Tin Can output.  When the SL360 modules open, the player shows up fine but none of the slide content or audio plays.  Screenshot attached - any thoughts what could be going on?  Rise files exported to Tin Can seem to work fine, so it would appear to be specifically with SL360 files.

Hi Anthony,

The screenshot you sent was helpful. Seems that it can be a problem with the SCORM version in the Output Option after you published the course.

Please check with your LMS vendor if they support the same as Tin Can may not be compatible with your LMS at this stage. You have to downgrade your previous publish.

Here's how you can select the correct SCORM version:

In cases where you are unsure of the most compatible SCORM version to publish courses, you can try each one of them starting with the earliest version, SCORM 1.2.

1. From the Home Ribbon in Articulate Storyline 360, click Publish.

Click Publish

2. When the Publish window appears, select the LMS tab on the left.

3. Change the Output Options (as highlighted) to an earlier version such as SCORM 1.2. You can click the dropdown menu to switch between Output Options.

4. Click Publish and remember the folder location so you can re-upload the zipped package to your LMS for testing.

If you still experience issues playing/viewing the course, post a reply in this thread or you can visit our Community Articles on Publishing a SCORM Course.
