I have a Storyline project with mixed backgound colors. Some slides have the default white background; others, a light blue background. When I preview a slide, a scene, or the entire project, the background of each slide displays the intended colors. Yet, when I publish the project, all pages have the light blue background. Can someone tell me what setting I may have inadvertently changed? I did not have this issue before I added some background color to some of the slides.
I am having the same issue with a course I am publishing. It previews with a white background but when I publish the course and upload it to the LMS, it had a grey background. It is just a single slide in the course so it's not critical but annoying nonetheless. I would be interested in finding a fix.
The Base > Slide Background is black and the Page Background is white. I can see how this would create a grey background but why would it happen on only one slide in the course?
I'd check the transparency setting on the slide background for the slide you are experiencing the issue on. This could certainly be the cause and explain the difference between slides.
Let me know if that's it.
With your permission, we can take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Hi Stephanie!
Let's check your color settings in Player Properties. There are two settings I'd like to verify:
The Base > Slide Background is black and the Page Background is white. I can see how this would create a grey background but why would it happen on only one slide in the course?

I had this issue and it was caused by the Master Slides. Some of their background transparencies were set to 100%.
