slide counter and timers for two exams

Hello all,

I have two issues going on with the attached scorm. Scene #1 and Scene#3 are both exams that use slide counters. The Scene #1 test doesn't have a timer by design because it is a practice test. Scene#3 is the graded exam that has both slide counter and a 45 minute timer. 

The issue that I'm facing is that the timer begins at the scene#1 practice quiz when we don't want it to start until they take the scene#3 exam. The second issue is with the slide counters. We want the two separate slide counters #1 out 10 for the practice quiz and #1 out of 20 for the scene#3 exam. Can anyone educate me on how to accomplish these two conflicts? Many thanks!
