Slide Disabling - quick answer please!

Eek!
Sure there's a quick way to do this, but cannot spot it at the moment. Need to find it quickly (pretty please...)
I have 5 slides - Introduction, Explanation, Video, Quiz, Results Slide.
Need to make it so that they cannot escape from Video (I know...I know....and have done it by removing Navigation buttons...), but then once that video is over, need to disable it.
They cannot go back, ever.
Must be a simple way to do this - was hoping to "Change State of Video x to Disabled after Video has been started and viewed or started and then stopped for any reason and put a big red "X" over it"; but that does not seem to be available.
Any ideas appreciated.

Put the slide on a layer load the layer when the slide first opens when a t/f variable is equal to false, on layer load set a trigger to change the variable to true. Set a trigger on media end to jump to slide,
Set the slide to reset to initial state on revisit this way it will only ever play once then be hidden.
You would need a way for them to exit the slide if you disable the navigation buttons (perjaps another layer that plays if variable = true that says you can only view this once click here to continue
One idea--put a shape over the video once it has been played. Do this via a variable. The variable executes off the timeline when the video has been played using an off-screen shape. Make sure resume is turned on in case the course is revisited later.
@Phil - LOL
Can I have that in a flowchart please?
I will give that a try just to see what happens.
Gerry's idea - a big black box that obscures the slide - seems a tad simpler...
Thanks again to both

That's because I am a "simple-"ton--just ask the wife.
Problem is the audio on the video - perhaps "Play very loud Static audio upon re-visit"...
Nice to see you back Bro'!

Good catch. Thanks for the welcome back.
What if the slide's state was remembered and not reset?
Ha! Simple is as simple does

OK - here's how to really do it - I think... (a principle loosely based on a suggestion from Phil that might work - sometimes...if you're lucky).
1> Set up a Variable called VideoWatched
2> Base Layer - Show Layer Video Layer when Timeline Starts if VideoWatched is equal to false
3> Insert a large image that shows "No you muppet - you had your chance to view this earlier" on the Base Layer, and change the State to Hidden
3a> Change state of picture to Normal when Timeline starts if Variable VideoWatched is set to True
4> Create Video Later
5> Insert the Video
6> Create a Variable Set VideoWatched equal to True when Timeline <on the video> starts
7> Resume Saved State on the video layer.
8> Resume to Initial State on the Base layer.

PS - please feel free to debug my process.
