SLIDE DISPLAY DURATION

Hi,
I tried to search for an answer about that and all the results i managed to find were old.
As it has already been discussed, slide duration display is missing in Articulate storyline.
As far as my course is concerned, every single slide is audio commented, so there is a precise duration existing for each slide and layer. Since sometimes a slide can contain a lot of layers, i need to somehow let my students have a vision of the duration of each chapter.(or idealy, each slide, including all its layers)
How can i do that ?
Thanks
estelle

Hi Daria,
Slide duration is still not a feature within Storyline, but you could enable the seekbar to at least show the user how much time is left. A new feature of Storyline 2 is to enable the seekbar for read only so that the user can see how much time is left, but not use it to advance forward.
Thanks a lot for your reply.
However i don't know why but i can't click on the edit custom button on the player...
Estelle
It seems like it is only doable in storyline 2, am i right ?
Can i upgrade ?
Hi Estelle,
I'm not sure what you're referring to with the "edit custom button on the player"...but that tutorial I linked to references Storyline 2 specifically and how to enable the seekbar to be read only - allowing it to display but that the user can't click on it.
If you have questions about upgrading to Storyline 2, you'll want to review the FAQs here and please feel free to connect with our Sales support.
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for your reply
Here is a screen capture of my problem (the button that i can't access (not clickable in my version of storyline)).
Basically, what i want to do exaclty is to add the exact same player as the one in the following example :
"Create e-learning that doesn't kill" by Teach America
Will i be able to do that with the read only solution ?
Hi Daria,
There was no screen cast attached here or a link to the one you'd like to replicate - but if you're able to share a bit more information hopefully we can point you in the right direction.
