Slide going blank

Aug 13, 2013

Hi

I am a little frustrated!

I am creating a software simulation in TRY mode and on one slide the screen detail disapears after a short time on screen leaving a blank white space.

I have other branches of the learning which do exactly the same where this does not happen and I cannot see why this branch is any different.

Has anyone got any ideas why this may happen as I do not want to go back to rerecord the actions as I am half way through adding the audio from an externally recorded source!

Thanks

Hi Pam,

Typically once you hit submit a small pop up appears letting you know that you've submitted a case. Additionally you would also get an email from Support@articulate.com (sometimes can go into your junk/spam folder). I checked by your name alone, and didn't see a case yet.

I went ahead and submitted a case on your behalf, so you should be hearing from our team soon to request your files.

Hi Shava!

We did not hear back from the user after support determined that she had possible corrupt slides.

We tested the project you sent and was able to reproduce the issue. We were able to see the screen recording display for just a few seconds. Based on our test, it may be possible that the slides got corrupted.

You would need to re-insert your recording into a new slide if this is what happened in your case as well Shava.

When creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Storyline courses, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive) to avoid erratic behaviors, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources. See this article for more information.

Hi Elaine,

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear your project has gone blank! Are you noticing any errors coming up, or is Storyline 360 freezing on you at all?

You can also try importing your slides into a new file to see if that fixes anything, as well as repairing your software to get a fresh copy. We don't want you to spin your wheels on this, so after trying these suggestions, if you still find yourself stuck, connect with a support engineer so they can take a look at your file to spot any issues!
