I am trying to hide some objects from the base layer, using the visibility buttons on the slide layers, but it actually doesn't work anymore. I know the workaround, but I just want to point out that this functionality doesn't work, it would be nice to have an update for that!
Does the base layer appear for a second when learners click Continue on the feedback sublayer? I ask because your description closely fits an open issue with quiz slides in Storyline 360 that we're investigating.
If that's not quite right, are you comfortable with sharing the file for testing? You can send it privately to us by using this link or attach it in a public reply right here. We'll check it out and delete it after!

Works for me, are you showing another layer at the same time?
I am using in a question slide, and am only using the basic feedback layers! Only one show at a time, but the objects appear even if I masked them!
