Somehow the slide layers panel has disappeared from my storyline view. I've closed and restarted storyline, check the bottom pane for arrow triggers to turn it on and off again, and no luck. I've also searched forums and help topics about how to turn this back on. No luck.
Can someone please tell me how to turn this panel back on? I'm working on a big interactive slide and I can't access any of my layers without it.
Glad to hear that you were able to find what you were looking for! Thanks for popping in to share that this older thread is still helping people out. Love seeing that!
Can someone please help me urgently, somehow the left hand side panel that contains all my slides appear to be outside the screen, I mean its covers part of my screen.
Thank you Belinda!! This was exactly what I needed. I was getting so frustrated. I wish I knew what I accidently clicked on to make it go away, but at least now I know how to get it back.
I can't believe this problem persists a decade later. Isn't there a fix for this? I am against a deadline and can't tolerate this foolishness. Please help.
Personally, I would hate to see the ability to undock and move panes “fixed”. For me, it is almost a necessity for using SL, so I really appreciate it.
Hi Stephen - if none of the solutions in this thread are helping and you are running out of time, perhaps you can put in a support ticket - https://articulate.com/support/contact/case. They usually respond really quickly.
This remains an issue 11 years later in Articulate 360. First response in thread solves issue (if you're lucky enough to be able to find an edge of the layers panel that's come undocked).

Hi Cindy,
Thanks for contacting us and sharing your image.
Have you tried the: View > Redock all windows method that has been shared here?
Here are the instructions.

The User Guide can be very useful. I particularly recommend this section.

Arrrggggghhhh. I still can't open the layers panel. Triggers and Slide Properties are fine. NO LAYERS. And the deadline looming, of course.

If you don't have time to sort this out that way, here is another idea - what if you opened a new Storyline file (be sure to set the same story size) and imported all of the slides from the problem Storyline file into that new Storyline file? I bet the fresh file would show your layers. Here's a link to instructions for how to import sides from other Storyline projects: https://community.articulate.com/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-import-slides-from-other-storyline-projects
Hope one of these ideas works for you.

Thanks, Belinda it works!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! I am using multiple monitors so I had to minimize all of my screens to locate the disappearing panel.
