Slide Master Cleanup

Aug 02, 2019

I have multiple Slide Masters in use in a course. I want to stick to a standard.

How do I see (Slide Master View) which slide is using a specific Slide Master? It does warn me that it is in use by x slides, and won't let me delete that master.

I want to identify the slides in use so that I can apply my chosen slide master and then delete the other slide masters.

Alternatively, is there a way to force all slides, and scenes to switch to my chosen slide master? Then, I could go in and delete the now 'not-in-use' slide masters.

As always, your help is appreciated.

Hi Alain,

Content Library comes with a selection of ready-made slide templates that you can use, but it sounds like you are interested in creating a custom template.

Wanting to start a new project with a design you've already gotten in place is what prompted the suggestion.

An easy start is to save your current project as a template for future use and a great baseline as you asked about.

Themes are also helpful and can be a part of your template, so I guess it comes down to your specific workflow.

I look forward to hearing how others may use these features together or independently.
