Slide Masters and Buttons

Hello,
I have checked the forums and could only find general questions about adding master slides and managing them. I want to make a slide that has two buttons for a master slide but when I go to slide I have inserted with that layout, the buttons turns into a static background shape. On the master slide, I have added the triggers; but they didn't carry over when I inserted the layout. Can someone help me create a master slide with buttons (that I can add text to on the non-master slide) that open the layers as I specified on the Master? Thank you SO MUCH in advance:)

Hi Michelle,
If you set up triggers and buttons on a master slide you'll see the button on the slide itself, but the triggers won't be visible on that slide although they will execute when you preview or publish.
If you want to make any changes on a slide by slide basis to the button or the triggers, you'll need to add that to the individual slide vs. setting up on a master.
You could always copy a button from one slide to the next to keep a consistent look. That will also carry over any triggers you've added and you can modify on each slide.
