I am working on a large project and have found a strange issue. The navigation between slides keeps breaking as I edit. Everything will be navigating fine and I will make a change to a slide not related to any trigger and the navigation will break.
I am using the Storyline player and have directed each slide to a specific next and previous. I am not sure what is happening and was wondering if this was a known issue or something I am just screwing up.
I'm sorry to hear about the odd behavior you're experiencing, and without seeing your file and seeing the navigation break, it's hard to say for certain but I'd suggest reviewing the following troubleshooting ideas to start with:
Are you working with all local project files as described here? Working off a network or USB drive could cause odd behavior or file corruption within your Storyline course.
You mentioned that you're directing to specific next/previous slides - have you been moving the slides around in the Story view and changing the navigation method by mistake?
What types of changes are you making to the slide that cause the "break" if you're not updating triggers? Are you using the Storyline built in next/previous buttons or your own custom ones?
You may also want to try importing the project into a new file to resolve any odd behavior as described here.
I have the same issue. I narrowed my issue down to articulate interactions. The navigation broke, even in an imported file. I get stuck in a loop between the incorrect answer and the incorrect feedback box and continue button. I'm working locally. Publishing locally. Didn't change anything on the navigation triggers except adding a Jump To on the continue button.
