I'm not sure what happened, but somehow in the scene I'm working on I've got the slides all out of order. They should play in this order: 2.2, 2.1, 2.5, 2.3, 2.6. Is there any way to reset these numbers? When I play the scene it always starts with 2.1.
Are you dragging the scenes to renumber them? If so, check the triggers. If you physically put the slides in order by dragging/dropping them in place, the triggers should read "jump to next slide" and "jump to previous slide". You may have some old triggers in place that are messing up the order.
Thanks so much for the response. I looked for jump to and previous and can't find any.
So I assume that the numbering is what determines which slide in a scene is first. Is that correct? If so, is there any way to rearrange it? I know my triggers are set up correctly so I can play the whole project, but this is a really large scene that I need to get down properly.
If you would like to upload your .story file I'd be glad to help.
The numbering usually determines that but it can be changed with triggers. You can easily move slides into the desired position by dropping and dragging them in order, the same way you would power point slides. Scenes are a little more complicated, and you'll have to use triggers to have them work correctly. For example, if you have 3 scenes ( 1, 2, and 3) and you want the scenes to play in the order 1, 3, 2 - you would add a trigger on the last of scene 1 to jump to the first slide of scene 3. Then you would need a trigger on the last slide of scene 3 to jump to the first slide of scene 2.
Is this making sense? If not, I'd be happy to take a look at your .story file and help out
Thanks so much, Jenna. I'm really embarrassed at how I just dragged 2.2 up to first position and it renumbered everything for me. I swear I tried that yesterday and got it all messed up. I hate being so new at something! : ) Thanks again, Cheryl
Hi Cheryl, I see Jenna helped you out. Just one more suggestion: Use the "Reset from Story" feature in the Player > Menu interface to make sure all slides are sequencing properly and appearing in the menu. If you have hidden slides, you will need to re-hide these after "Reset from Story" is used.

Sometimes the simple things are the most difficult when the pressure is on! Good luck from here on out. Glad I could help.

Thanks, Richard. On this project I'm not using the menu, but I will try to remember that. Thanks!
