I can't understand why there is no easy way to have numbers show up on slides. I tried the method explained in great detail by Laura NedVed, PMP, but it is just so long and cumbersome to follow these instructions, that I wonder why we don't just leave our presentations in PowerPoint.
I agree that easier and more intuitive slide numbering would make a great feature request. In the meantime, you may want to take a look at this thread for ideas, if you haven't already seen it. Thanks for the feedback!
I agree with you Bruce, it's just that I will have to convince my boss and co-workers that the "linear" training experience is the way of the future, that is, in fact, why we are switching over from PPoint to Storyline. Meanwhile, we have Instructor's Notes that refer to individual slides one by one on detailed session plans. We might refer to slide names instead of number, I guess. Thanks for your reply.

Numbers on slides make less and less sense as we move away from the "linear" training experience.
That said, the workarounds are possible if you really need them.

I was waiting for you on that one, Bruce
... And I agree wholeheartedly.

Hi,
There is, of course, nothing to stop you making cross-references of some sort on the slides (and the notes), but without referring to "slide numbers".
Bruce
Catherine,
I'm not sure if you've been able to find an implementaion or not. If you are still searching, take a look at this.
