Hi. Working in the current Storyline 360, I duplicated a slide by copying it and pasting it into the Scene. The original is 1.2, the new one is 1.3. It's also totally disconnected from all other navigation.
So I drag it and drop it on 1.2, expecting it to be added to the navigation.
And when I release ... it just jumps back to its original location as shown in the first image.
Shouldn't this add the little black "this is the next slide" arrow? Am I missing something obvious?

Only if the slide navigation triggers are relative (jump to next, jump to previous). If they are absolute it will not work
They are. I haven't changed the default behavior.
It should just add on (you shouldn't even have to drag it over), I would look at the triggers
Can you be more specific about what to look for? As you've probably guess, I'm pretty new to Storyline.
Thanks.
Can you put a screenshot for the trigger panels for 1.1, 1.2, 1.3?
That's 1.1, 1.2, and then 1.3.
Thanks, Phil, for helping out.
On slide 1.2 and 1.3 you can see the problem the next and previous buttons are pausing and resuming the slide rather than jumping to next or previous.
They should be like 1.1
Not sure how your navigation works, for the drag and drop rearranging to work in storyl=view you need jump to next slide triggers.
Phil, there is no "Next slide" option.
That's for 1.3.
Change the action to jump to
Well, that fixed it instantly.
Thanks again for assisting this beginner.
That’s great. Glad you go it sorted. We all start somewhere.
