Slide replays after viewing lightbox

Apr 23, 2014

I have most of my slides set to "Reset to initial state" when revisiting as my client didn't like it when the replay button on the seekbar didn't function. I've now discovered that if I view lightbox content, the slide timeline jumps to the end and, when I close the lightbox, it treats it as revisiting the slide and the content begins again.

Is there any way of making the slide timeline pause and resume after viewing the lightbox content, or just play in the background behind the lightbox?

Many thanks,

Tess

Hi Tess,

It's interesting as there was an issue that was fixed in update 3, where the slide was paused when returning to it from a lightbox - and now that's the behavior it sounds like you want. Since it was a fixed "issue" I don't believe there is a way for you to set this up, so you may want to look at creating a custom lightbox so that you can control that a bit further.

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for following up - unfortunately, it would not be practical to set up my lightbox content as layers - they contain reference lists that are referred to on nearly every slide and are several slides long. It would mean duplicating the content which would be harder to proof-read effectively. It seems like the client will have to live with it for now, and I'll have to come up with a better way of presenting reference lists in the future.

Thanks again.
