Slide resets when revisited?

I'm building a quiz that begins with a slide showing 12 squares (4x3). Each square leads to a quiz question and each square changes state when clicked (to launch each quiz question, etc.).
Everything is working fine but when the user answers a question and returns to the main grid slide the square resets itself (so it's not dimmed to indicate that question has been chosen).
Is there a way for the updated state to maintain itself without resetting?

Hi Joe,
Check the properties of your grid slide and make sure it is being set to "when revisiting - resume saved state"
Also you might want to consider having a disabled state for your boxes so that when clicked, it is disabled and learners would not be able to visit the question they already answered again.
Ty for the response.
Even with this set, it still resets. Any thoughts what the problem could be?
Attaching source for reference.
And as a side note, ty to Nathan Ford for posting the template online we're basing this off of.

Hi Joe!
I would recommend utilizing a Visited State vs the Hidden State. This should hold your state with the slide set up as Resume Saved State.
That did it!! Ty Leslie! ;)
Glad to assist Joe :)
