Slide Title - in master

Jul 15, 2019

How can i have page title only once in master with variable %title%. and can keep on changing on every slide. this can help in defining the color, font properties only once and can be changed easily if needed.

How are you changing/updating the value of your variable for the title? What's your use-case for this, besides efficiency in editing slide titles?

%variableName% is the correct formatting for inserting a variable reference, but if you're only using one variable for title you're going to have to have a way to update that single variable for whatever the slide is at the moment.

So a couple of options come to mind:

  1. Insert a trigger on each slide that sets the value of variable (Title) for that slide
  2. Insert a series of triggers on your master slide tied to the slide number variables that would possibly read something like "IF slide number variable = 1 THEN Title = "slide title""

IN the end, both of these and any other options I can think of seem like as much or more work than just typing your slide title on each slide. The only way I could envision having a dynamic, variable driven slide title would be if each slide could possibly be different for different users, but even that would be (possibly) more easily done by branching and having different users take different paths through your course.

Hope this helps
