I am hoping someone can help me with my issue. When I preview the quiz I built, randomly slides will have difficulty advancing to the next slide on the first click, when clicking the "next button." Some times I have to click up to 5 times just to advance to the next slide. I have double checked all the settings and still cannot determine the problem.
Can someone please help me resolve this issue? I have attached my project.
I took a look at your file and did see the navigation set to restricted, so you'll want to change that to allow the user to click the next button immediately and be able to advance or look at the slide's timeline and adjust it to be much shorter. There are also a few other methods such as the one detailed here to change the behavior.

Any chance you restricted navigation in the player properties? See here for info.
