Slider - Keep Previous Layers Visible

Jun 11, 2018

First time I've used a slider. I would like a sequence of images in layers to appear as the learner drags the slider but I would like the previous image to remain visible as they drag to the right but disappear as they drag to the left.

I used triggers:

Show layer "Initial" When the slider moves If Slider1 is Greater than or equals to 1.00 AND Hide layer initial When the slider moves If Slider1 is Less than 1.00.

I repeated this for layer "1 month" but used 2.00 as the condition.  When dragging the slider to 2.00, the previous layer "Initial" still disappears even though it should display if >= to 1.00.

I was trying to use the greater than/less than conditions so that I wouldn't have to create multiple triggers for each of the layers to show/hide.

How do I keep the previous layers visible?

File attached.

Have a look at the attached and see if that's what you wanted. I added a variable that indicates if the slider moves to the right or to the left. Then I used this variable in conditions to show/hide layers. I also changed the layer properties so that by default a layer does not hide other layers.

I was able to get my original slider to work as intended after your tip about changing the layer properties so that by default a layer does not hide other layers.

I didn't have to use the Previous variable but I'm looking forward to incorporating variables in the future when I become more comfortable.

Thanks for your assistance. Much appreciated.
