Slides auto advance, even when the trigger is removed.

OK! I've searched through here and found others who had various issues with the auto advance at the end of the timeline. I THINK I have investigated and tried every remedy discussed in the forum. My slides STILL auto advance. Is there some overall "preference" setting that is over-riding my individual slide configuration?
My project has 99 sliides, in 7 scenes. At the end of scene one, I have a "top level navigation" slide that allows the student to go directly to any of 6 topics. Each topic returns to the navigation slide, at the end of its timeline.
Any ideas????
Sincerely,

Hi Skip,
If you've checked everything, including the slide advancement options and this is still happening, it may help to import the existing project into a new, blank file. It sounds like something may be going on with the file itself.
Here's how to import the existing project into a new one:
Importing from Another Storyline Project - E-Learning Heroes
If you try that and the slides are still advancing automatically, are you able to share the .STORY file? It sounds like a rather large project, so you have trouble uploading it, it may help to import only a few slides that are not functioning properly into a different project file.
Thanks!
Deleting the trigger will not fix it, you need to go to story view and select all slides and set the to advance by user, I presume they were all imported from ppt
Yep, that was it. I deleted the triggers, but had not changed the "advance by user" setting. All's well, now.
Thanx, everyone!
Hey Skip,
Awesome! Glad you were able to get it working.
Thanks for sharing the update :)
Have a great day,
Christine
