I've tested this same setup using the Serenity template, and the objects on the right side aren't cut off when previewing or publishing. Would you mind sharing your project with us so I can see what is getting in the way? You can attach the .story file to this public discussion or upload it privately here.
So weird, I just noticed some of my slides are wider than others. I don't even know how I did that. If I go tot "slide size", though, they're all the same.
