When we drag out seek bar out of the slide, slides is getting skipped(Jumped) few slides in between. i tried using both the player classic and modern from storyline 360.
scenario:-- if we are in page 2 and when we click and hold the left mouse button and drag the courser out of the seek bar or out of the slide and release the mouse button the next slide will be skipped with variables in the slide also changes as visited and 4th page will be loaded without showing page 3.
We've identified an issue in Storyline 360 where the seekbar auto-advances slides when scrubbed and held at the end of the bar. Specifically, this happens when all the slides have a seekbar and a trigger to advance to the next slide when the timeline ends. Does this description seem to match the behavior in your file?
With your permission, we can test your .story project to determine if the behavior is related to this. If that works for you, you can upload your file privately to our Support team here. We'll let you know what we find, and will delete the file after troubleshooting!
Hi there, Kiran. Thanks for sharing a sample file with me!
I see the same behavior when testing your course, and can confirm this is related to the bug mentioned in my last post. Our team is investigating this issue, and I'll keep this discussion updated with any new information!
For now, would it work for you to remove the jump to the next slide when the timeline ends triggers? Let me know, as I'm happy to explore other solutions!
I want the build to auto play after completing each slide, I think only way to achieve is to jump to the next slide when the timeline ends triggers, Is there any other way i can achieve the same. please suggest.
With your goal in mind, you can workaround this bug by using the When: Timeline reaches parameter instead of Timeline ends. I know it's a bit of legwork to reformat, but hopefully that will help you achieve the proper functionality!
Let me know, and I'll keep you posted with any changes to the bug!
Good morning, Kiran! Appreciate you circling back with this update.
You're right: I re-tested the new parameter and experience the same behavior when scrubbing the seek bar. I apologize for my confusion!
I'm going to share your sample file with our Support team to see if there are any other custom approaches we can recommend while keeping your goal in mind. Thanks for working through this oddity with us, and look out for a follow-up email shortly!
Hi Katie, thanks for your help and support offered by team Articulate.
Am facing 1 more challenge, I have screen record few videos using storyline
Issue listed below
1. Audio quality is poor and some additional sounds can be observed.
2. Video white background becoming gray after publishing, this can be seen
only in Windows 8.1 and below OS, but the same package when viewed in
Windows 10 and above this issue is not present.
3. Text and images in the video is blurry and not legible.
Hi there, Kiran. Appreciate you letting us know the new issues lie in the same .story file!
I shared this update in your recent support case (#01777048) with my teammate, Christopher. I see he asked for a few key details to help us best advise on next steps.
Be sure to let him know, and I'll follow the case to share any insight here as it progresses!
For #2- Gray path issue, we found what causes this issue.. in older windows system (earlier ver of 10), the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' ís ON. When we change this to off, this solves the gray patch issue when using MP4.
