Could you tell us a bit more about where and how you're experiencing delays?

You'll also want to make sure you're working on local project files and running the latest update of Storyline 2 Update 9. If things are still misbehaving, I'd confirm as well that you exceed the minimum system requirements here and see how Storyline behaves when it's the only thing open. Lastly you could look at conducting the repair of Storyline as detailed here. 

If you're still having difficulty after going through those steps, I'd invite you to work directly with our Support Engineers so that they could take a deeper look into your set up.
