I bought a new computer and installed Storyline 1 on it. When I open the program the entire screen including ribbon and everything is shrunk so I can't work with it. I changed the resolution on the computer and that increased to size but everything is blurry. What is going on?
Assuming that this is a laptop, what's the native resolution of the laptop screen? Most stepped down resolutions will appear blurry. However, there is likely one in the list of configured settings that will be workable. I do this on my Macbook. My native resolution is 2560x1440. By using 1440 x 900, it becomes much more comfortable to use and isn't noticeably blurry.
On your machine, take a look at the height of the native display. Pick a resolution that has the width of the height you saw in the native resolution.
I had the same problem when I bought a Surface with Windows 10. It was Windows 10 that was the culprit for me. There's a patch on the Articulate site, but it didn't work for me. Windows 10 conflicted with several programs I run, so I uninstalled it. Everything is back to normal now...
Sorry to hear about the experience you had with Windows 10 - and I did want to mention it's not compatible with Storyline 1. You should be ok to use it with Storyline 2, but if you're running into issues with that - you'll want to connect with our Support engineers. If you're seeing it display with items are missing from the ribbon - you'll also want to make sure you're using the DPI setting detailed here but since Storyline is not designed to scale for higher resolution monitors it may still display small and that is something we've shared with our team based on customer feedback here to have the UI work with high resolution monitors so we'll keep yu posted on any changes to that.
