Software Simulation Too Slow

I am creating some training for a fairly complex piece of software. We are exploring the idea of including simulated exercises.

This is really easy to create with Storyline, but the end result just runs too slow. For every action, a video loads which creates a sort of a lag.

Is there some special technique that I don't know about or are all simulations like this?

Hi Alison - I did one quite a while ago, and don't recall the exact process, but if you right-click on the video, and click the 'Action Fine Tuning' option, that may give you what you're looking for.

Anne is spot on -- the action fine tuning feature allows you to perfect your screen recordings frame-by-frame. A little fine tuning can make a big difference!
