I have created a software simulation in SL360 in view mode where the slides are set to automatically advance. The course has not been loaded to an LMS yet, as I am still in development. I have placed the scrollbar in the player so users may pause and playback slides. The course during playback will freeze or close the browser in IE and will freeze in Chrome. I published the course in Flash with HTML 5 fallback and vice versa and I have the same issue. I don't know what else to do other than turn it into a Try Me simulation where I make the users advance the slides and I strip out the video. Suggestions welcome!
You mentioned you eventually plan to host the course on a LMS--does that mean you published it for LMS?
If so, you'll want to test it in a LMS environment to be sure it's working properly. If you're testing the published content from your local computer, you may be encountering security and browser restrictions.
Try uploading the published output to SCORM Cloud, and let me know if you encounter problems with freezing there. If you'd like some help with that testing, feel free to share your file with me!
