Some 'selected' states not working following recent software update

Oct 29, 2021

Good morning,

Following the latest software update to Storyline 360 (October 26, 2021) some of our in house quiz templates are not functioning as expected. Specifically the issue is with grouped question answers (shape plus text box), which have a hover state and selected state built in. When the user tests these the hover state is working but the selected state isn't. When I revert back to the previous software update (September 28, 2021) this corrects the issue and it works ok.

Has anyone else experienced any difficulties or can advise on this?

Thanks

Hi, Neil,

As per Maria's reply to this post, there is a known bug in which the Selected state doesn't show in groups.

I posted one solution (with a demo file): put all the pieces you need (e.g., shape + text box) into the various states of a single object. Then you don't need to group anything.

Hello Neil!

So sorry for the trouble after updating Storyline 360! We just released the fix for the issue you reported where the Selected state was not displayed or shown when the objects were grouped with other objects.

You'll want to update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app to ensure you're using Storyline 360 (Build 3.57.26476.0).

Hi Lauren! Thank you for providing that update. I just installed the new version and am still experiencing the issues with the Selected state not working correctly. The way we designed it is Normal state the tab color is black. Hover state changes from black to white and then when they select a tab, the selected state is yellow. While that does work, the selected state remains the active state even after the learner clicks another tab. The goal is to have the tab that is selected by the only one that is yellow so it's clear to the learner the tab they are currently on. Any ideas of how we can fix this?
