Some Slides Crashes after Restarting Course

Jul 12, 2018

Hi everyone,

So, I have encountered a bit of a problem, and it's a first for me. I'm working on a module with about 15 slides. 1 slide for the OBB video, 1 "Introduction to the Course" slide, 1 Navigation Slide to navigate to 2 slides (let's name them Slide A, and B). Slide B has 10 intertwining slides, where the user can only proceed to the other slides if one has visited the previous slides (for example, Slide B3 can only be visited if the user has visited Slide B2 already... and so on. But all 10 slides will be visit-able/active once all of them has been visited. ). Slide B1 is the navigation slide for the other 9 slides. And lastly, I have 1 Congratulatory slide with 3 buttons. One button to go back to the Navigation slide, another button for Restarting the Course, and last button to Exit the Course.

Now the problem here is, when I click on the Restart button, or rather when I restart the course, the Navigation Slide seems to crash when revisited. What I mean is, when I first visit the Navigation slide, everything works well and I can still proceed to Slide A or B. But when I go back to the Navigation slide again, it crashes. It shows me nothing but a white area and a rotating mouse wheel of death. Note that on the first try, everything is working fine. I can go back to the Navigation Slide whenever I want, how many times I want, and wherever I want. But when I restart the course through Restart Button, I can't revisit the Navigation slide without it crashing on me.

Hi Danie,

It's hard to say what could be going wrong without seeing your file and the associated triggers, but if you're able to share a copy of the .story file with us here or send to our Support Engineers we can dig in and do some testing!

It would also be helpful to know if you're seeing this while testing in a particular browser or hosting environment.
