Sound on revisited slides

Sep 03, 2012

Hi

This might have been answered elsewhere but I can't find it...

I'm working on a Storyline tutorial (my first!) where I have students click on an object on the base layer to go to one activity, then back to the original, several times. I have a voiceover on the base slide that replays every time the user revisits it, when I only want to play it the first time. I'm sure there must be a way of stopping this happening but I can't work it out! Can anyone help?

thanks

this is what I'm getting from that link:

I've tried setting a trigger for the sound to start when the timeline starts and to not play when the other objects are selected, but that's not worked. Thought it would :-(

I spoke too soon. It still replays the sound when revisited, the sound doe stop once the buttons are clicked to go to the next stage, but I need to stop this automatic replaying every time the user goes back to the base layer. I don't get the option to change states. There must be some way of instructing it so that the sound only plays once?
