Does anyone have an issue recording? When I record my narration my voice will cut in and out at times. I am finding this happens on almost every scene I record.
I actually experienced some issues when I was recording and then playing back the sound. I thought it was the mic i was using, but it went away when I restarted the application.
Do you know if this occurs with any other audio you put into the presentation, or just audio that you've recorded? If it only happens with your voice recordings, you might want to check your microphone settings or test with a different microphone. I'm not sure which operating system or mic you're using, but you should be able to test the levels.
Also, depending on your computer's setup, it may be other programs using resources that are causing a bit of "lag" while you're recording. Try to limit the amount of programs you have open while recording and see if this makes any difference in the recording quality.
If using Windows, I'd also do a test recording with something like the Windows Sound Recorder or another program that records audio. See if it is a general Windows problem or possibly something specific with Storyline.

Hi Stella,
Take a look at these two knowledge base articles:
Try adjusting the settings listed in the articles and let me know if you still have issues with the playback of your narration.
Thanks!

Christine, the sound sounds choppy before I even publish the course. Do your instructions still apply?
