Can you clarify what you mean by "source code". Talking characters are typically created in third-party software, like Codebaby or CrazyTalk and then added to Storyline (e.g. as a Flash file or via web object). There is no special source code to deal with in Storyline.
Here is a similar thread that might provide some other options. And there are tons of other tools out there, Codebaby and CrazyTalk are just two examples.
