1. Add a small font one line text box with a sentence like: "This information is from the 2018 Statistical Analysis". And then I will hyper link the analysis with the title.
2. Add a downloadable PDF directly after the information.
3. Add a resources module at the end with all the sources in downloadable PDF format and/or linked.
Unfortunately, I haven't really found a better way, given that we can manipulate line spacing and footnotes can be cumbersome in a course. Hope that helps!
In addition to the great suggestions by Moriah, you can always built a About Course or Help section in all the courses where you can share such or any related information with the candidates.
