Space key problem
Oct 31, 2013
Hi there,
Having an unusual problem on one of my slides in a course. Its a fairly simple slide, with 6 clickable images that display a layer each. Once all of the 6 layers have finished, you move onto a 7th layer with further content (progresses on timeline end when all layers are complete). While on this 7th layer, an odd thing keeps happening in that if you press the space key on the 7th layer, whichever of the 6 previous ones you viewed last appears on screen over the 7th layer content. There are no triggers assigned to the space key on this layer, and even if you set the 7th layer to hide all other layers, it still happens.
Any suggestions?
Only thing I can think of is to give the 7th layer its own slide, but that seems unnecessarily long winded.
I've attached a story file with the relevant slide in it.
Thanks,
Kerry

Hi Kerry,
I tested this as well in your file, and it seems like odd behavior. I also tried to import it into a new Storyline file, and the behavior persisted. Are you able to share your file as a Support case?
After further investigation, we discovered that not only does it happen on this one slide, it happens on any slide of a similar format where the layers are not set to 'hide other layers' and progress to a final layer using an articulate trigger. I submitted a support case yesterday, case number 00365406.
Thanks Kerry for the update and sharing your case number. I'll follow along as well.
Hi Kerry,
I see that Jonathan is still doing some testing of your file, and is trying to reproduce the issue in a new file so that it may be reported to our QA team.
