Splitting content into multiple files

Oct 30, 2012

Hi,

What is the recommended way of splitting content into multiple bitesized published files and then controlling a users sequence of accessing them.

Splitting the files has been forced on me as I (and others) have had some virtual memory issues (couldn't save the file) when I got to about 160 slides (mostly a screen recording), so I am exploring ways of packaging the screen recordings into separate files, publishing each separately and then having a Storyline file that loads each from a separate slide. I'm posting because I can't find a way that works nor a relevant post on the forum.

Thanks in anticipation. Regards, Rik

If your course has screen recordings in it, I'd do this:  Make copies of the original Storyline (or do a save as inside the original project) and then remove the slides you don't need in each file.

If the course does not have screen recordings in it, you can try an import.  Create a new project and import the slides that you need from the original project.
