Standalone Glossary in Storyline

May 15, 2013

Hi there,

Is there any way to create a stand alone glossary in Storyline similar to the Engage output?  Does anyone have any templates for this?

Thank you!

Hi there Tara,

I haven't seen another one, but I have actually been working on something similar. So far, I've included the glossary as a tab option (lightboxed) and in a slide.

I'll attach what I have so far, but please keep in mind that this is far from complete

Hopefully this will help get you started :) If not, I'd love to see what you end up using.

Thanks!

Hi Tara,

So glad to hear you like it :) I still have a lot to do with it, but I'm happy with it so far.

If you use this in a project, I'd love to see how it turns out. You're always welcome to send me a private message or post here on the forums if you have any questions or want to share your work.

Thanks and good luck!

Hi Christine,

Thank you again for sharing this interaction! I'm wondering if you can help me with adding my content?  I can't really figure it out - I'm new to Storyline and am having a tough time figuring out how to actually input my content.  I feel a bit sill asking this and I'm hoping you can help me out.  Thank you so much!

Hi Tara,

No need to feel silly at all! To be honest, I haven't really had a chance to complete this project. So, it's not totally set up for content.

My plan was to include quite a few layers and triggers for the different letter sections and descriptions. It would be a lot of content :)

How comfortable are you with layers and triggers? If you haven't already you might want to review a few of the Storyline tutorials

Here's a good place to start:

Thanks Leslie!

Hi XAn :)

I haven't had a chance to make any additions to that project, unfortunately. It's definitely something I want to work on, though!

If I make any updates I'll be sure to share them :)

If you happen to work on it and create your own version, I'd love to see it too!

Thanks very much and have a great day XAn,

Christine
