we are facing big problems to start WBT published for LMS as an off-line version. We saved on C:/ and we started with a fresh brower session. On some PC it works, on some not. Any idea?
Can you share a bit more about what you mean "before zipping all is OK"?
Are you testing that published output locally and it works? Have you tried uploading that unzipped folder to your LMS and it plays? We always recommend uploading and testing in the intended environment vs. testing locally.
I always recommend using the "Zip" option that you'll find on the publish successful window here:
I would use that zip option vs. manually zipping it as you may other files/folders.
we've uploaded the WBT to LMS and it works. WE can run the file off-line from C:\ and it works. But when we zip the folder and unzip again the resulting file does not start. It only shows the turning circle in the middle of the page.
If just tested the ZIP-Option in the publishing menu (as you show above) with the same result: does not start.
If now tried to publish again now for CD. On this way it works. I'll take the CD version for any off-line usage.
Thank you for your support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it's working at your LMS without zipping it - then keep that up! Every LMS is different, so it's a good thing to test in your own environment.
Glad the CD output will work for you offline - I'd recommend that as a better experience than trying to play web/LMS published content offline as you may encounter security restrictions as I mentioned.

It looks like the files do not stand the zipping procedure. Un-zipped it works, extracted not.
Thanks Heinz - how are you publishing the course, for web, LMS, CD?
Also, what browsers are using viewing it in? Can you check that it's one of the supported browsers here?
We tried IE, Firefox and Chrome
The course was pblished for LMS. Before zipping all is OK
