State Change
May 07, 2013
Hi,
I've designed a 'timeline' style mixed with interview....
Its getting hugely complicated and I'm not sure what to do!
Basically, on a timeline which plots the birth dates of 9 individuals, you click on each individual to then jump to a slide to 'interview' them.
I've had to jump to slides, because my 'interview' slide has different layers.
Basically, what I want is for the timeline to show which individual they have looked at.
I.e I click on one individual, I interview them, I return to the same timeline and their 'box' is greyed out.
I've tried changing the state when the box is clicked, but it doesn't seem to work with the trigger of jump to slide...
Any ideas?
Thank you!

I would use the Visited state of the nine buttons to indicate which person has been viewed. You could style the Visited state so they look greyed out.
In my previous post, forgot to attach a sample file that show the use of the visisted state for four people. Hope that helps.
That's great, gives me something to work with! Thank you!
